Fried cheese (Smažený sýr)

It is slice of edam cheese wrapped in three-layer flour, egg, breadcrumbs (the same way as a schnitzel), deep fried. It usually goes with potatoes or french fries and tartar sauce.

Another variation of this can be fried ermine (smažený hermelín) or fried cheese (edam or ermine) with ham, which means the cheese is cut in two thinner slices with a slice of ham in between.
